Can I Replace Normal Lights with LED Lights Myself?
You can replace standard screw-in bulbs with LED bulbs yourself. Shut off the switch and let lamps cool before changing. Hire a licensed electrician for hardwired fixtures, new dimmers, recessed lighting, or ceiling-fan lights to ensure compatible drivers, proper dimming, and safe wiring. If LEDs flicker or buzz, the dimmer likely isn’t LED-rated. Turn off the breaker and verify power is off before any fixture work.
